There are 3 podiatrists consulting at the Essendon Foot Clinic. All podiatrists are registered to practice in the state of Victoria and are members of the Australian Podiatry Association.
There are four reception and administration staff who manage the day-to-day running of the clinic. All have extensive experience in working in medical clinics and ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
PODIATRISTS
Bernard Comerford
Bernard Comerford is the proprietor of the Essendon Foot Clinic and completed his undergraduate
podiatry degree in 1984. He has extensive experience in clinical podiatry and specializes in
biomechanics and paediatric problems. Bernard has also pursued post graduate qualifications
and has attained a Masters of Podiatry and is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Podiatric
Sports Medicine. Outside of podiatry, Bernard enjoys fishing, football and spending time with
his family.
Shaun Bergin
Shaun Bergin completed his undergraduate podiatry degree in 2010, graduating with first class honours. He has a special interest in sports injuries, biomechanics, sports footwear and paediatrics. Shaun is currently undertaking research investigating the impact of big-toe joint osteoarthritis on health-related quality of life. He also teaches and supervises undergraduate podiatry students at La Trobe University. Outside of podiatry, Shaun enjoys playing football, running and spending time with his friends and family.
Daniel McManus
Daniel McManus attained his undergraduate podiatry degree in 2005. He has a special interest in gait
analysis and biomechanics, of which he is planning to pursue further post graduate research and study.
Is local to Essendon and enjoys athletics and football.
